Paula Gordy, LISW

Paula Gordy, LISW earned her Masters Degree in Social Work at the University of Missouri-Columbia in May, 1993 and became a Licensed Independent Social Worker in October, 1996.  She has 26 year of experience in the mental health field.  She started her own company, Paula S. Gordy LISW, LLC, on January 1, 2010 and currently provides services in our Centerville and Bloomfield offices.

Frankie Savage, LMHC, NCC

Frankie provides services to adults, adolescents, children, and families. She earned her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education with a specialization in Childhood Development in April, 2011 from Ashford University in Clinton, Iowa, and her Masters Degree (MS) in Mental Health Counseling in May 2016 from Capella University in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  

Frankie has supported individuals, couples, and families who've experienced trauma and multiple losses, helping them to better cope with and manage the challenges of daily living. Her vision is to empower people to realize their personal strengths, overcome obstacles, and reach their personal potential. She strives to provide clients with tailored treatment plans that can be integrated into their daily lives. Frankie is a member of Iowa Mental Health Counseling Association, American Mental Health Counseling Association, and Chi Sigma Iota. In addition, she continues to educate herself by attending conferences and keeping up with current therapy research. Frankie currently works in the Centerville and Bloomfield offices. 

Beverly VerSteegh, LMSW

Bev VerSteegh earned her Bachelor Degree in Social Work in May, 1975 at the University of Missouri-Columbia and then went on to earn her Master Degree in Social Work in May, 1998 at the University of Iowa. She later became a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in January, 2010. She has 40 years of experience in Child and Adult services both at the Department of Human Services  and First Resources Corporation.  She joined Paula S. Gordy LISW, LLC, in 2015 and currently provides therapy services in our Albia, Centerville and Ottumwa offices.

Monica Shelton, LMFT

Monica Shelton, LMFT earned her Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at the Indiana State University in May, 1994 and became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Iowa in June 2000.  She has 25 year of experience in the mental health field.  She started working for Paula in November 2017 and currently provides services in our Centerville, Ottumwa and Bloomfield offices.

Leah Schneider, LMHC

Leah Is a 2010 graduate of University of Iowa, where she earned her Master’s degree in Rehabilitation and Counselor Education, specializing in substance abuse and addiction counseling. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology . Leah is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified alcohol and drug counselor. Leah has a long history of working with adults and their families dealing with addiction and other co-occurring disorders. She has experience in residential substance abuse treatment settings. She has experience working in the Department of Corrections specializing in mental health with drug treatment court as well as providing specialized evaluation of high risk correctional populations.

Jodi Collier, BA

Jodi Collier earned her Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from Buena Vista University and attended St. Ambrose University's School of Social Work. Jodi has worked in the mental health field since 2006, providing mental health services for both adults and children.  Jodi has been providing services at Paula Gordy LISW, LLC since 2009 where she worked to get approval from the state to implement the Remedial/BHIS programs, provide services, and has been involved with program audits since development of the Remedial/BHIS program in 2009. 

Bob Fluegge, BA

Bob Fluegge earned his degree with a double major in Business and Psychology in 1990 from Buena Vista University, Ottumwa, Iowa . In 1999 he earned his MBA from St. Ambrose University, Davenport ,Iowa. He retired from a management position at John Deere Ottumwa Works after 30 years. He has worked as a social worker for the past 10 years. He has over 25 years of experience being a foster parent.  He currently also works as a Respite provider for children and families in need.

Cynthia Fluegge, BA

Cynthia Fluegge earned her degree in Human Services with a minor in Psychology in 1990 from Buena Vista University, Ottumwa, Iowa She has worked in the human services/ mental health field for 29 years as a counselor, supervisor, director, and school social worker. She has over 25 years of experience being a foster parent and during that time, she has taught foster/adoption classes through Indian Hills Community College, Ottumwa, Iowa.  She currently works as a Respite provider for children and families in need.

Chris Porter, BA

Chris Porter, earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1993. She has 29 years experience in the mental health field. She has been providing Behavioral Health Intervention (BHIS) services at Paula S. Gordy LISW, LLC since she began employment in January, 2010.

Elizabeth Stever, BA

Tracie Burton, BA

Tracie Burton earned her BA in 2002 from Buena Vista University, Ottumwa, Iowa. She has partnered with and supported families and their children since 1990 when she first began her career in the service field as a preschool teacher and gymnastics coach.  She has enjoyed a varied career. She has served as a coordinator and medical assistant, worked with teen moms, provided education and support for women in recovery, was coordinator of the Better Me Program for at-risk teens, and worked as a GED and High School Credit Recovery Instructor. Tracie currently provides BHIS services in Davis County and surrounding communities.

Barbara Alexander

Office Manager

Barbara Alexander has worked as Office Manager for Paula S. Gordy LISW, LLC since the company opened in January, 2010.  Overall, she manages the operations of the company.  She processes all accounting procedures, credentials all insurance companies, submits claims, and gives support to clinical staff and our clientele.
